Just ran across this:



Not crazy about the silencer, but rest has a nice classic touch.
 
Not loving the rear cowl. Something about the lines running from seat to rear cowl look bent. Like its sagging. Other than that, its got some nice touches. Its really hard to improve on the looks of the original.

I never liked the cheese grater exhaust screens . Does the triangular shape increase the leaning clearance ?

I doubt it.
Seems like the builder just wanted something different other than the typical reverse cone style.

I just thought that if someone not familiar with the new 961 saw this bike, he could mistakenly believe it's a restored classic.
That lump between the wheels has a real "non-unit" Norton family resemblance about it that gives it the old classic street cred.
 
I’m not too keen on the tank, seat, side panels or exhaust.

The rest looks good...

Interesting comment. I have always thought the classic Commandos look like they're sagging in the rear. That's one nice thing about the Corbin seats - they seem to take away some of the "sag".
