I used to take my alloy tank & Manx seat to work with me & on my return wheel the next project down the driveway to the garage at the back of the house. This worked well. Then I brought a project with a red tank just to freshen things up lol.
 
A pontoon boat would be my choice. Gotta be something that you can pee off the side of without getting tippy.

Pontoon boats are good when you hook a good sized fish, and the three other guys in the boat rush over to see what it is. When this happened in my fishing rig, water started over the gunnel!

I just buy the parts and say nothing and just tell her there be a package arriving soon, she knows her place in the pecking order, I bought my last two new Thruxtons without telling her she only found out the day she had to drive my to the dealers to pick them up and she buys things without telling me and I do look after her as well and she did get a new kitchen built for her and a dish washer, see thinking of her all the time;).

Tell her it's the same but a buddy painted it for you for free! Might as well add lying to the crime :) :)

Sounds like you actually know my kids ! They’ve done that before. Several times in fact now I think about it.

Its one of my ‘moderns’ that changed. Had a Honda Africa Twin, fabulous bike, just didn‘t enthuse me for whatever reason.

Chopped it in for a Duc Multistrada of all things.

Don’t ask why. I blame covid. Too much Googling and You Tubing whilst I was laid up …:rolleyes:

start to shuffle off. Maybe you need a nice OHC Ariel Four to keep you safe in idle moments....

I’ve got 5 old bangers, that’s more than enough to keep my little old mildly OCD mind occupied thanks!

The ‘moderns’ are a track day bike, a Humpty Dumpty, and the Duck.

I‘ve been many years without any moderns in the shed before now. I think I’m starting to change my outlook on time, ie spannering time vs riding time.

I hear you Nigel . With two Nortons on the road and one in “ large lumps “ , a Honda GB 500 and ST 1300 and many other hobbies I am task saturated . Still working a little and becoming resentful about that !

My wife knows me and I have no problem telling her in front of her, I have worked hard all my life and have supported her as soon as I started dating her, I sell my toys to buy new toys, my bikes are just as important to me as my wife and kids and she enjoys going out on the bike every so often, we both have our own interest as well shared interest, it also having trust with each other in what we both do and then there are things we both no need to know ;)
