chain guard mounting tab broke

gentl;emens..I have been working on my 72 commando project and making great progress and today attempted to mount the chainguard...the little loop on the swingarm front broke clean off! the rear is secure but the front flops around like a fish... any tips on how to work around this without taking a bunch of stuff off and welding a new one on? JB weld did not work...make some sort of bracket?

Maybe you could use a worm drive clamp to hold a home made facsimile of the broken locator bracket.

JB weld worked for me second attempt, still there after 18months. Make sure tube is square to chain guard otherwise it just breaks off when you tighten it up.

Leave the chain guard off. The weight saving will yer bike 5mph faster...

Rubber clamp ..........?
