thought Id run this past you guys, before I commit tommorow! Found a small catch tank.
Brazed spigot on front of central oil tank, where breather exits.
Will weld two threaded tubes to oil tank, and reusing a coil clamp which is a perfect fit for catch tank, will locate as shown.Do I use blank exit pipe (on right) or run pipe to atmosphere?

Interesting. What are you going to do with the air cleaner? May be not for you, but I drilled a hole in the air filter cover (actually it was already there) and threaded a pipe nipple into that breather hole and fed it out the hole and into a large pill bottle that I made 2 holes in the top, one for the input from the breather and the other to the atmosphere. Of course it's a pain in the butt to change the air filter because everything has to come apart, but how often does that happen? Lets see if I can shoot a pic. It's not a great pic, but if you can see the clear hose behind the fuel line to the pill bottle. That spigot in the top of your tank is the input from the crankcase and the hole in the front of the oil tank is the breather for the oil tank, other wise it gets pressurized.

On my standard Mk3 oil tank with the tower breather outlet, I route the short breather hose direct into my K&N air filter, a simple 10mm hole in the rubber backplate with the hose pushed in, no connectors or catchtank required.
This works because the tower outlet is above the separate PCV inlet and oil level, separating oil and vapour so fumes only will exit.
On my bike it also reduces condensation sludge in the oil tank during cold or wet weather.

If your breather outlet is low it should be vented to atmosphere, if you route it into the air filter you may find it will suck in oil, confirmed by oil dripping from the bottom of the filter or excessive oil consumption.

Try both and see which is the best on your setup.

Thanks Guys.i am not using standard air box.Front of box is removed.Using single Mikuni with its own pancake filter.Apart from simplier tuning, it frees up some room!

My '73's battery shelf is different than yours. With the capacitor, I don't need that big stock battery so I went to a smaller battery (which still absorbs excess charging) and that made room for a one quart rectangular plastic oil bottle to serve as my catch can.
