Okay - this may sound a bit wacky, but I am considering making a couple of custom plywood panniers to take my dogs (Jack Russels - 8kg) for rides.
I have tested that they are okay with the noise & vibrations of the bike.
I see that a variety of dog goggles are available on-line.
Anyone else been down this route and have any helpful advice?
Cheers
Rob

My mate always takes his dog on the back of his various royal Enfields wherever he goes
The dog sits in an aeroplane with goggles on and loves every second
I'll see if I can find photo

“a bit” ?!?!

I made this for my Buddy- I was worried it might be too hot or loud inside so it has a thermostat controlled vent system and is lined with automotive sound deadening mat. The db meter shows a 28db drop in shop tests so it should be about as quiet as the car. Temp has stayed within 8f of OAT.

I was worried I wouldn’t be able to tell if he was upset or uncomfortable riding back there- he seemed happy enough whenever we got where we were going, but that always made me think of the classic joke about locking your wife and your dog in the trunk of your car- who is going to be happy to see you when you open the lid?

So, since backup cameras are tiny and cheap and since there was already 12v power inside of the case, I installed a monitor. Hennessy likes to watch traffic when we’re moving slowly but otherwise curls up and zonks out.
