cam ring removal

Evening all, could someone please tell how I can remove the cam ring from a K2F magneto. I am fitting a Thorspark electronic ignition to a N15. I can't shift the bugger.

I found that you could get the bent/grabber section of a paint can lid removal tool under the bottom of the cam ring. You can then push the tool sideways to exert a levering force on the bottom of the cam ring. It's a _itch of a job, but doable if you work around the cam ring and do a bit at a time. When the ring is about half out you can try rocking it and pulling it with your hand. If you are trying to shim the cam ring you will end up doing it several times and, as a bonus, you will expand your vocabulary and achieve expert status.

It should be a sliding fit but if it's tight try warming the housing with a heat gun/hairdryer.
