And how much is it worth when all done and the price will always go up as they get older and rarer, its what someone is looking for will pay the price, collectors and mussel car builders there are a lot of them, just like us with our bikes, if you want something you go out of your way to get it and think about the money afterwards.

Ashman, my issue isn't with the price of the body, that is for the buyer to decide if it is worth it. My amusement is with the author of the article lack of knowledge of which he/she is writing about. i.e. repairing damage "including rust". The Corvette's body is made of fiberglass I would be amazed if it had any rust damage.
