The charging system on this A65 was not working. The owner wanted to have better lights and a set of turn signals. To reduce the current requirements LED lights were installed in the headlight the new turn signals and the brake light. This required changing the bike over to negative ground and a whole new wiring harness. To be fair the old harness after fifty years was all cracked and broken, plus the exposed bullet connectors were corroded. The rectifier and heat sink were replaced with the Podtronics regulator. Did not use Lithium batteries but a sealed lead acid battery.

The turn signal and brake light operation was handled by the Badlands Pro III controller (highly recommended). I was pleasantly surprised by how bright the LED headlight is, and it is a whiter light. Now for the road test when the glaciers melt.
