Breather tube thread.

Can anybody tell me what bolt size/thread pitch the breather tube is on the rear of the crankcase on the 850's, part No. 064200 as I am deleting mine and want to fit a short bolt in it's place.

I "think" it is 20 TPI and not sure of the size. I machined an aluminium plug on mine and screwed/glued it in place, then I ground the whole thing flush with the crankcase.

I used 1/4-20 when I made a plate to cover the hole.

Thanks for the info.
My Norton is up against the garage wall and behind my Triumph and to save space, they are parked against each other and with my limited access, I've been unable to get at the pipe to get it off to measure it. So I suppose I've been a bit lazy

The pipe nipple appears to have the 9/16-18 thread @comnoz mentioned. (thanks Jim!)
