Can the front brake light switch on the master cylinder be sourced at a auto parts store?
If so, does someone have a part number?

iirc it is the same as that fitted to the original BMC Mini, sorry don't have the part number to hand will see if I can find it (it's 'somewhere in the garage' )

Thing is, pressure type stoplight switches haven't been used in decades, so, it'd have to be an old school place, able to order old stuff.

OTOH, oldbritts can drop it in a USPS flat rate box for tomorrow.

Its the same switch & threads as older Harelys use but some Nortons have round terminals others flat blade type is all. Rarely do automobiles use this kind unless maybe vintage Brit cars.

A quick look through my Borg Warner buyers guide catalog shows nothing with that 3/8-24 thread in a pressure type switch. Everything is 1/8-27 pipe. Makes me think that Old Britts is your best option.

Got mine from Old Britts two years ago.....fits perfectly and works great.

From their website:
# 34619A Brake Switch, Hydraulic 1 2 - $35.50

RGM sell them as do AN I believe. So there is no need to search through modern car spares shop.
