Well I finally have reassembled my 72 Combat, and I just have one issue I'm sure somebody here can help save me some time with.

In kicking the motor over, it kicks back, with a vengeance. I have the stator on the Boyer turned all the way clockwise. Do I need to turn it anti-clockwise, or adjust the rotor? Thanks!!!

I just went through this. At 28˚ where is your rotor set at? Is it horizontal?

I had to move my rotor to get more adjustment with the stator. We were finally about to get it to time out at 32˚ at 5k. I called it good enough for now.

Are you using the Old Britts Boyer guide? http://www.oldbritts.com/boyer_install.html
