I know this has been talked about before but I cannot seem to find it anywhere.
Id like to replace all the sensors and injectors on my Norton’s to Bosch.
Where can I find all the part numbers needed? It would be great if these were all available as a kit form that included every sensor on the bike.
Also, which of the ECU are the best ones to have? And can you swap out the lesser of the two for the greater ones?

Hi Scott , Your 2016 came with OMEX so best to keep it if running good. The Air temp sensor and was Honeywell and I found a better than Bosch , Honeywell for the Head Temp sensor. (higher heat range spec. 150C max instead of 130C for Bosch) that's what I am using.

Bosch Part Numbers :

Cam and Speed sensor : 0232103037
Bosch Head Temp sensor 130 C max rating (7mm probe tip diameter) : 0280130026
Bosch Ignition Coil : 221503035
Bosch Fuel Injector : 0280155931

Honeywell Part Numbers :

Honeywell Head temp sensor 150 C max rating (7mm probe tip diameter) : ES120-0030
Honeywell Air temp sensor : ES110-0016 Norton OEM
Honeywell Air temp sensor : ES110-0001 better , available , costs more , fits Norton air box threads, same size/connector as OEM (This is what I am using)

All Bosch parts are available on Amazon or Ebay

All Honeywell parts available from Online Components

Thank you very much for the clarity on the part numbers.
I ordered the following

4 - Bosch Cam and Speed sensor : 0232103037
4 - Bosch Fuel Injector : 0280155931

2 - Honeywell Head temp sensor 150 C max rating (7mm probe tip diameter) : ES120-0030
2 - Honeywell Air temp sensor : ES110-0001

Keep the stock throttle position sensor?

I have not been able to find anything better (CTS Brand) . Mine is still good after 17K miles , but I did buy a spare from Norton .

I add idle control valve:
Lowe 57177 - 4260278050640 (OEM Renault 820003354010)
alternatively Magneti Marelli 8001063373638

There were also quite a few problems problems with the MAP sensors....

Thanks for remembering those and if you could find a part number on the MAP sensor Clive and post it ? The SC Delta ECU has this built in so I have never had to deal with it or even seen one . Claudio , Good on the Idle Motor ! I would suggest that substitutions here (IAM) may be unwise. I tried and was not happy with the subs I could find , SO keep using the LOWE 57717 in my view for best operation. I had to order my spares from Berlin Germany , (Auto Parts Berlin) but they were on line and it was painless.

Tony, I don't understand when you say that the SC ECU has the MAP sensor built in. I thought a MAP sensor measured the vacuum in the inlet manifold (Manifold Air Pressure) and would therefore need a physical connection (pipe). How would the ECU do this without a connection to the throttle body?

A few years ago when I first contacted SC after Norton had switched back to Omex, I recall them saying that it would have been easier for them to properly setup the ECU for the Norton if the 961 had a MAP sensor. My 2013 manual referred to one but there wasn't one installed. From other comments I assume it was added later. Wouldn't it make a difference to setting up the tick-over etc?

Hello Comet , I was mistaken , there is no built in map sensor . There is a line SCS labeled MAP Analog input 3 (pin33) , which is being used for the Tilt Sensor. So the only thing notable about what I said then was none of the SC Delta ECU 961's had a MAP sensor. There is pin 18 which remains unused , is an input and is software selectable. Pin 6 is also unused on the SC Harness plug. I thought I read somewhere that the Delta 400 had an air pressure sensor (atmospheric) inside the ECU .

Hello Clive , If your bike has a MAP sensor can you tell us how its plumbed ? Is there a hose running to the throttle body or is it going to the air box ? And then wires from it to the harness/ecu ?

I found it :

Bosch

I'll look for the details of the MAP sensor when I take the tank off but this updated one was sent to me by the ever-helpful Rob Jameson who told me they were having some problems with perforated diaphragms so the current MAP sensor from Norton should be ok.

Can others with OMEX ECU's tell us if they have one and how they are plumbed ? Especially the earlier bikes Euro 3 and before ?

The SC to OMEX conversion was published by Norton and there is a TSB on it. There was no inclusion of a MAP sensor that I know of with this conversion. So , This would make one assume that the OMEX was the better choice simply because the factory chose it ? . If SCS Delta have finished making a OMEX to SCS Delta conversion harness then you can get that and go this route. We already know that SC Delta has an "open" and tunable policy so this in itself may be a reason to consider it. At this point I have to wonder if the OMEX is in fact "better" than the new SC Delta . After all is said and done if you can get "access" to the OMEX ECU , then I would keep using it , if for no other reason than your wiring harness stays intact !
