Hi. Have seen suggestions for various rattle can paint for the frame but I have a decent spray setup and was wondering what's the best spray paint for the 1965 Norton, frame without breaking the bank. I wont be taking the frame back to bare metal just making sure its all prepped correctly. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have and would use a acrylic urethane 2 pack paint system on your frame once its been decreased sanded and spot primed if needed on any raw steel areas or repairs
This type of paint has the drying properties of a acrylic with the durability of a urethane... 2-3 coats bling bling...

Many thanks for the reply. So I wouldn't need to prime the original paint once it was prepped? What sort of quantity would I need for 2 to 3 coats on a frame? Could you perhaps give me a link to a supplier? Sorry, complete beginner here on auto paints!! Thanks again

I looked at their website, and as usual, even the tech sheets do not really say how ethanol-proof various products are. A chat line said to use the 2K clear coat.
However, from my many surveys of other forums on the subject, it is not easy to find out really reliable info on this...... Suggest ringing them and trying to get a tech expert to answer!
