Hey guys, I've upgraded the starter to a 3 brush unit and put in a new sprag. I need to know the best , most powerful battery available in the US that will fit in my MKIII. I am using the stock battery tray and stock air box.
Thx,
Cameron

Did you upsize the battery cables (x3)?
That made the difference for my MkIII
and AGM makes good sense for battery.

I have fitted Motobatt MBTX 14AU to my Mk 111 , works very well so far. Been on the bike about 2 years.

I have been extremely impressed/happy with my Shorai 18AH on my Alton E-start equipped Commando. It's been there for nearly 2 years now and regularly sits for months between starts with no charging whatsoever and spins/starts the motor instantly. Got mine from Old Britts: https://www.oldbritts.com/70_shorai.html

For my 850 MK3 I have big cables and DEKA ETX15 for 3 years,no problems.

But it is not possible with the big black box air.No probleme with air paper filter.

Guys, Thank you very much for your help. It looks like I have 3 basic choices : a Deka 14ah agm , The shorai 18 ah, or the 2 Shorai 14 ah in series. The Shorai batteries look good but seem overly expen$ive. Admittedly, it has been a while since I bought a battery, but these look more expensive than a car battery. Can anyone give me maximum battery dimension on a MKIII with stock air box and tray?
Thx,
C
