Best battery for a MK3 E-start

Hi Guys,
I'm sure this has been covered before, but I've been unable to find it through a search. I've got a '75 MK3 electric start with a Boyer ignition. I have rebuilt the starter with 4 brushes and installed a new sprag. My battery is totally dead, so I'm getting ready to order one. What is my best option. Obviously I want the strongest one I can fit in to support the electric starter.

Shorai or Ballistic performance. Both Lithium Ion, Low weight, Small footprint, High output low discharge etc..... Expensive, but good value for what you get. I just got a Ballistic Performance 8AH battery for my project, less than a pound in weight, 135cca. I got mine for $93.00. They make larger versions suitable for a MK3.

I have the Shorai in mine. I just did a test for them as to what would be the best fit for the MKIII. I had the 14 amp battery first but didn't work out as good as I thought it should so I went up to the 18amp hr battery and it works great. Shorai wanted to change the battery they recommend so i tried the 21 amp hr battery as it fits the battery box like the OEM battery. It spins the motor like there is no compression! Expensive but then again it only weighs maybe 2 lbs. My 18 amp hr is about 1.8lbs so compared to stock I also gained 1 1/2HP or more by just changing the battery!
