Only get ones that are rubber mounted.
+1 - Halcyons on 2 bikes - great result (830 Round with 3 piece angled tensioner sleeves)I've mounted Halcyon mirrors on my Commando. Very high quality and I have no mirror buzz.
@gortnipper I'm picking up the bar end mirrors and was debating the Oberons, the Rizomas, or the Motogadget. I think I'm gonna go with those Oberons, but the website asks for what adapter (see here: https://www.oberon-performance.co.uk/streetfighter-mirrors/streetfighter-mirror). Do you recall which adapter you got? As far as I can tell I have 7/8" handlebars and i don't want to push in my grips, I want to extend the bar with an adapter and attach the mirrors to that. Thanks!I would have said the same thing until I got the Oberons.
Now, I dont want an rubber mounted mirror bouncing around on the end of the handlebar with no stabilizing weight. If you take a look at all the modern superbikes, bar end weights are pretty common.

Right.. unfortunately they don't make it that easy to find. But I think I found the answer in one of their tech docs. Adapter MASF-22 for handlebars with a 22mm hollow opening.7/8" bars on Commandos.
I would buy them again. In fact, I did after a low side.
I have had a set of Napoleons (rectangle) for 20+ years with no problem but like the ones mentioned above if they needed replacementNapoleon, AP 104 or AP 105, they are both squaish , but have slightly different stems. Very hard to find now
Rizoma, considerable more "modern" looking.
Both very high end ad rubber mounted, but watch for cheap knock-offs. There are many more quality makers and, virtually, infinite choice in the size and shape department
CRG, upper end of mid-range, tons of cheap knock-offs.
I have sets of the Napoleon's on my R90S and my current Commando build; the quality really stands out.
However, any bar end mirror will be the first casualty in any dump or fall over, so the knock-offs (pun intended) may have their place, up to you.
Best
After some internet digging I found the AP-104s (rectangular) at tanax.co.jp/motorcycle, and IIRC paid something like $64 USD/each which included free shipping. At the time they were unavailable in the US, but there were some available in Europe at near or over double the price.I have had a set of Napoleons (rectangle) for 20+ years with no problem but like the ones mentioned above if they needed replacement

Do those have little o-rings in one of the hinges? The cheap knockoffs may not have that.Only?
Keeping all options open there are many quality offerings out there that do not use rubber.
My first round of RV mirrors was a "less expensive" set with rubber integrated into the mounting bases. The vibration blurred image was great for developing a headache.
One of these days I well heed to the get what you pay for rule.
I rode up to the local Monday night bike rally nearby and checked out the various rear view's other riders were using. I probably looked at and talked to 12 or 15 guys gathering opinions. One set grabbed me with component quality and solid imagery throughout the rev range was the CRG Hindsight. My kids "surprised" me with a set for my BD.
I now look back to a clear image.
