Atlas side stand length

Can anyone tell me the length of a side stand for an Atlas (or 650SS etc with Slimline frame)? Preferably the length from centre of the pivot hole to the end of the "foot" that rests on the ground.

I have three Atlas-framed bikes, all missing the side stands and I live in a remote location, so need to raid the local bike wreckers to find some stands off modern bikes that I can adapt. Knowing a starting length would be a big help.
Thanks

8.2 inches

Slick

EDIT: 8.19.22
For reference my side stand is original equipment, the bike is a '1962 build Atlas.

Hi
I can confirm Slick's measurement but would add mine has a 3/4 of an inch block bolted to the foot. Mine is a std 650ss with 19 inch wheels, the side stand is the standard fit with the bracket that butts up to the engine plate and was on the bike when I got it 40 years ago.

This thread from the NOC maybe of interest particularly the reference to zx6r stands and the picture of a stand bolted to the front engine plate.

The Atlas was generally fitted with 18 " rear wheels so it seems likely that it would have a shorter stand than a 650 with 19" rear . Perhaps the bigger rear tyre of the Atlas made up the difference? . Some of the UK ref data lists uk Atlas having 19" rears . Its a bit of a minefield , so be wary .

Thanks much for measurements and the very useful link. My Atlas has the 18" rear wheel (US model) but fitted with a low profile TT100 tyre so probably sits a little lower than it should with the traditional 4.00 profile. I will start at 8.2-ish and see how we go.
Thanks again

Atlas, P11, P11A, Ranger 750 all used the same part number (03-4048), while 650SS used P/N 18750, so you are probably correct!
