Thought I would post a picture of the Atlas that I have now been working on ground up for 8 months. Been a learning experience for sure. Thanks to everybody who have offered up all of there

invaluable experience and info!

Retro/resto/cafe 👍

Those swept back pipes are a nice touch. The clip-ons would put me in the hurt locker.

You're getting there.

With rear sets clip-ons aren't too bad. Looks like you could move them up an inch. Then again, I could be hallucinating. I fell off the wagon and it's 5 o'clock somewhere. :D

This is probably out of line, but gots to ask. Is there a commemorative story behind the Norton lettering color on the tank? Only reason I still have the P11 is I got it from my brother as a basket case and he died way too young. Holding on to family memories is good for the soul.

Nope no story other than the tank came as part of 6-7 boxes of parts. Just thought I would try keep it as originally intended by the previous owner who took it apart in the early 90’s, fell ill, and never got it back together. It sat in boxes in Syracuse NY for close to 30 years before I got involved

Featherbeds are such a great pallet for bike builders. Were it not for the memory of the guy I got mine from and several comments that mine is the last stock Atlas in the city, I'd tart it up a bit. I don't ride in the rain anymore so i don't need the valanced fenders, they look so stogy and I never really cared for the tank shape. I'm way too inspired by your photos, I just might stray from the straight and narrow...
