I rebuilt my commando motor and I'm putting it back together seem to be missing a few pieces, one of the smaller head bolts ( that used to be a stud but was converted in the front) and one of the long nuts, (I have it but it was stripped trying to remove it before I had Whitworth tools) , and the regular sized single nut that goes on the rear stud, any help would be great I was able to find the long nut on eBay, but not the other two and would buy rather buy them as a package from the same seller

add another dumb question is there any way to upload pictures directly from your device and not just from a URL, because I can't seem to find any at least not for my phone I've tried every button on the thing

Scotty,

I guess your question is what is the quickest way to get parts in NJ. Old school just call Classic Cycles Ltd and see if he has them in stock and pick them up. Otherwise internet stores like Clubman Racing can get you parts in a couple days.

Cool thanks, like I said I'm new to this Norton game, and Norton parts are hard to find on eBay, I was thinking of calling NYC Norton thinking that he might have the stuff, I would definitely get them shipped cuz even classic Cycles is like two hours from me, who are some of the reputable Norton Parts dealers ?

Rocky Point Cycle has all the fasteners you have listed; they are made from 316 stainless, which, usually, raises some dust around here...

Shipping to NJ is, usually, an overnight proposition with Priority Mail.

I've dealt with Frank from Clubman Racing many times for parts, as L.A.B. pointed out, he is an Andover distributor. He ships USPS priority mail. I'm in South Jersey and I get my parts in 2 days from Connecticut, USA. Dealt with Rocky too, good service. Would never deal with Classic Cycles LTD. again. All his junk has been laying around for years and he wants top dollar. Never let him touch your bike. The only piece of equipment he has in his shop is a sandblaster, and maybe a hammer. Sure talks a good game. Gave him an original RH10 head to rebuild, along with new Kibblewhite valves and springs. Told him I would pay for Kibblewhite guides. He said he had good guides that he would install. Got it back, looked pretty. Smoked on deceleration. You know that's intake guides or seals. Took it off. The dimwit installed 4 "Rowe" oversized exhaust valves. .002 to .004 over. Rowe has been out of business for quite some time. So obviously he not only enlarged the guide holes larger than he should have, but put exhaust guides in all 4 holes. Needless to say no seals on the intake. When I took it apart the stem to guide clearance was .005. UNFU@^&ingbelievable. Also had him install new rings on my low mileage .020 pistons and hone. Said I needed new pistons/rings. He Installed Cycle Craft pistons .040 with NOS Hepolite rings, should have used Hastings. Called him a few times, and he did not return my calls. Stay away from that "shop", whether for parts or service. Just trying to save you from getting ripped off. Thank the Norton God's I found an old timer 7 miles from my house who was able to remedy everything, along with installing beryllium valve seats. Runs like it never did before.

Hey Nortster,

Classic Cycles changed management a couple years ago. I do all my own work, so no first hand knowledge. Others I know have had good experiences.
