Any comments on legendary?

I don't know very much about them,but did notice their gas tanks are for racing/ off road use only.?
 
Just JB Weld the 1/4-20 mounting bolts wherever you want and you're done....

Petcocks look like they are the normal Taiwan type at twice the price and they are calling them 1/4 NPT. Maybe really 1/4 BSPP?

Just going by the website but I guess I just wouldn't buy a fiberglass tank anyway.

I've flip flopped on steel v glass many times...right now I'm ok with it....when I'm finally a PayPal click away, I just might flop again...
 
Yeah, I've got one of each right now. Don't trust either one. Fiberglass one just feels brittle, as you could expect. Alloy one, revealed massive amounts of body filler after removing old paint. I can give Evan Wilcox 1,600.00 for a new aluminum tank with an 8-10 month lead time. Or I can buy a new metal tank for close to 500.00 made somewhere.!? Hmmm.....
 
400 bucks for raw metal tank on eBay...but I really don't want to send my money to India. I'd rather keep it somewhat loca...ie north America.

I've found a steel tank, side covers and seat for $900...maybe I should just buy that...
