Just a heads up:

A scammer with this address:

Emerald Mansion Citraland #BF-21
Survhabays, Jattimerecht 6023 SA
NL

Tried to buy some parts from me. I have seen this before. They have an indonesian city with eurpoean country address. Typically europe simple forwards the parts to the indonesian address.
His/ its scam/ scum name is: Fabio Maulana.

I should send him some of my Beagle crapola as a little gift.

watch out for this. I got em this time :)

Cheers

I had 2 bidders bidding on one of my Norton wheels on Ebay the other day, both were registered in Indonesia.
one had 2 feedback the other had none, one has been Ebay registered for 3 weeks the other one week.
seemed a bit fishy to me, neither was the winning bidder.

Some ebay auctions state that bidders with no feedback will be removed.
Possibly for good reason....

There were ~150 scam ebay auctions a couple of weekends ago on aussie ebay.
I thought one Norton looked familiar, and was suspiciously cheap.
All gone a few hours later, so ebay was on the job.

Pays to keep your eyes peeled, they are everywhere.
Waddya expect, when they earn 50c a day and then have access to a computer and the big wide world....

I miss the pleading emails with tales of lost diamond mines.... !

I had an email "from a bank in the USA" stating $600,000 was awaiting for me to collect it, someone in Africa had sent it to me,and the US had held it in an account with my name on it....couldn't wait to fly out and claim it
How many of you lads get these ...Starts off with Dear Sir,i am contacting you because my farther as be killed in a aircraft crash, leaving millions of dollars in a bank i carnt draw out, i need your bank details to transfer the money etc........As if right? !

I recently had several excess Norton items advertised 4 sale on "Gumtree" , a place your advertise online in Aust, for free and/but costs to edit or bump up.. I receive lots of TXT"s from "Gmail" addresses which are clearly strange and i never reply.. eg, "what condition is the bike" FFS

I also get the calls from the "private #'s" and they sound very genuine.... Even from "older folks?? " and give your the run around sourcing insignificant parts that you may have.. I ring back with the postage cost (cos i take it get it weighed and quoted at Post Office) and its "i will get back to you later"............

Gumtree was a good place to sell/ buy stuff, but my 60yr old+ plus cynical trait, takes a toll...

IMO there are tooo many people with more IT smarts out there, than we will ever have.. So trade carefully..

Yeah

This guy just tried to scam me for a magneto. He's tried to scam me before. Always check out their address and phone on the net 1st and never take an international credit card unless you know them well.

THERE IS AN EBAY SCAMMER IN THE UK who list various bikes and camper vans on a Sunday, at a prices that is about 60% of you might expect to pay, giving phone no as contact. Always no feedback.
