Gentlemen,

I have just secured a set of alloy rims and spokes from Madass. The quality of the parts is excellent and he couldn't have been more helpful in dispatching the parts to me at a dodgy hotel in a remote part of The Philippines even before he had received payment. I had hoped to meet up with him on this trip but the journey would have taken about 4 hours each way and I didn't have that much time.

If you are nervous about doing business with someone half way round the world, don't be Madass is a reliable and honest chap.

Now I need to start saving for one of those gorgeous double sided twin leading shoe brakes that he also makes.

I have had several dealings with Don, and everytime it is fast and honest.
I wish there were more people like him in the world. There would be a lot less complaining that's for sure.

I purchased the new single sided 320mm disc kit from Don and couldn't be happier with it. Don was great to deal with and answers emails pronto. I dont think he sleeps though. He might hang off a tree branch for an hour or two each day, that's about it.
The kit isn't really made for my bike (mk3 850) but can be made to work on it easily enough.
First hard test stop I found out that the seal on the gas tank needs replacing. Gas sloshed out the front of the cap and ran down the front of the tank. The old girl was only capable of a gentle stop with the stock disc, so the gas stayed in the tank. Small problem compared with the old one of low stopping power, or when ridden really hard in the mountains, no brake at all.

Would that be photos of the rims, the twin leader brake, or the 320mm disc?
I posted a series of photos of the disc brake install on the brake thread Don started, it was here a couple of days ago, can't be far away. Another poster did the same for the same kit intalled on a pre Mk3 bike, separate thread tho.
The double sided twin leader is something I did not know about, would like to see photos of that as well. I have a 650SS with decent brakes, but improvment would be nice.

Don often has a single sided twin leader, or a double sided twin leader on E-Bay USA. If you type in 'leading shoe' in the search and select Ebay Motors, you wont have to trawl through too many items if he is advertising something that week. There is currently a single leader on there.

Here is one of my regular customers latest build, Norton/Laverda using my 4LS front and 2LS rear, his previous project Norton/Trident used similar wheels, his current project Norton/Ducati,
In about 8 weeks I'll be releasing another new front brake similar to this TZ style for Nortons but the brake
plates will have vented scoops.
