air bubbles

eye have clear fuel lines and while trying to get bike started noticed air bubbles in fuel , and an air bubble or two floated out of carb bowl . is that normal ? I am to the point now where bike starts when primed runs for 5 to 10 minutes then shuts down . 75 , 850 commando twin amal. Thanks

You might want to check the fuel delivery through the petcocks. Easy things first.

Make sure your gas cap vent is working and your petcocks aren't clogged up.

Have you tried tickling the carbs when it shuts down ?
If they tickle easily, that tells you they are not short of fuel, and its electrical or something else.
If they take a lot of tickling, or won't tickle, then its a fuel supply problem.
