Hi all, I would like to put some nice looking, smaller, LED type turn signals on my Commando

This has probably been discussed earlier, when I wasn't pay attention, and doing a search doesn't really help me.

Can anyone tell me who might make these, need a handlebar switch mechanism also, any ideas to get me started?

Appreciate some guidance

Go on ebay and do a search for "BMW style turn signals", they mount in the end of the handlebar. I have seen the LED type and they are no bigger than the typical bar end weights that most of the new bikes have. Personally I think directionals clutter up the looks of any bike but you kinda gotta have them for most inspections. The bar end type may be the way to get directionals and a clean look.
Oh also do a search for "LED mirrors" some of them have directonals built in, unfortunately the only ones that are usually offered are Harley style.

Hello,
check out honda they have turn signals and handle grips you can adapt to your Norton. CNW uses same for customers who want this replacement upgrade on their rebuilds. Talk to Matt for some imput.

, $12.95 per set of two.Old Britts

I got two sets from Old Britts (pictured above) and they've worked well for me so far. I was able to tuck them in pretty well with some real simple brackets I made up (just bent flat stock). Just the right size I think. I put turn signals on my bike to be seen, not to just pass inspection.
As for the handlebar switch, I don't have any suggestions for a good switch. I replaced the entire left switch cluster with a ebay cheapo that has given me nothing but problems. I made it work for this last season of riding, but I have to get something else on there before next summer. Spend the money and get a decent switch, its well worth it.

PS - I realized you're looking for LED lights. Can't help there.

Since you said LED type signals, I assumed either incandescent or LED. You would have to run a negative ground for most LEDs. Considering that signals lights draw very little current, the difference between incandescent and LED would be negligible as for current draw.

Try CNW.

*If you drill the proper size hole on your coil bracket, the fronts can be mounted there.

The left switch cluster? Use a Honda part for a clean look.

Ah, thanks for that, Jim!

As I would never give up my beloved positive ground, I will have to search for non-LED turn signals.

I've had good luck with these from Dime City. http://www.dimecitycycles.com/vintage-c ... 301cm.html
They're EMGO, aluminum and look pretty sharp.
