I have a Norvil 13 inch disc kit fitted (Norvil part # 069895, link http://www.norvilmotorcycle.co.uk/069895.htm).

It works very well, but the duralumin center wears very quickly. In 10,000 miles I have worn out two centers. To be clear, by worn out I mean the disc radial clearance increases to about 1 to 1.25mm. The disc still works well enough, but it becomes very noisy.

Does anyone have any long term experience with the RGM disc? (http://www.rgmnorton.co.uk/buy/fully-fl ... s_2623.htm) .

Thats not many miles to wear out 2 centres, I have a foull 12" grimica disc from RGM and have had no problems in the last 6 years and nearly 30k on it.

Is your caliper square to the disc? Maybe a piston slightly more friction could be affecting the load on the disc or pull to one side more?

There have been a few posts here and elsewhere on low life Norvil floating discs and other than the name of the supplier no other fault has been found.

I guess we use our language differently north and south of the border, but are we saying the name Norvil refers to low life?

I believe the quote is:

" You may well think that. I couldn't possibly comment" (House of Cards !)
