Has anybody ever found a plug that fits the Norton electrical outlet?

Mine was missing, I added a power outlet that I got from a auto parts store. I use it for phone charging and heated jacket liner. Dont forget to put the fuse on the neg side, if you have positive ground.

I've got a standard one off eBay comes with a fuse on the positive side. So remove, and place in-line on negative side? Haven't given much thought to installing it..

If you don't have an electric starter, there's something to be said for a fuse on the earth side battery lead.

I use that (female) plug to hook up the mini battery charger.
Bought a couple of male brass plugs (I think they are some kind of phono jacks) from Radio Shack, one red and one black, that were slightly too big and "whittled" them down until they made a good (tapered) fit (one is larger than the other), then tossed the alligator clips and wired them to the charger.
I thought that the red wire on the bike (which on my bike is the larger hole) would have to go to black on the charger, but I was wrong.
Of course, it's possible that at some point the wires to the plug were switched and I just got lucky. But polarity is obviously important if you wanna do this...

Someone was reproducing these in recent years. I seem to remember seeing sets of the plug and socket on eBay (no wires). Here's a pic of the original plug:

The two pins are different sizes so it is polarized, but it's easy to touch the pins to the socket the wrong way around even if it won't go in, so be careful. I left the original socket as it is but recently added a Battery tender pigtail which tucks in next to the battery.

Please just say no on the cigarette lighter receptacles.

How do expect to run all your accessories if you don't have a good quality power outlet.

You know what? I just realize I believe this is a Vstrom........ Ive got a Vstrom, Im starting to make my Christmas list.

If you check at a Landrover stockist they may be able to help. Being English. older Landrovers used Lucas electrical equipment. The accessory plug was the same as the original used on my 1971 Roadster. Ebay may be an alternative source from time to time as well.
