Hi There,
A lot of news today:
I am just back from three days in hospital, not the same hospital than before, where no doctor wanted to take the risk to make a chiurgical intervention on my wounded leg, so I went somewhere else and there was a doctor ready to do the intervention, he removed the rotten meat: 9 inches X 3/4 inches cut away, I stayed tree days in the hospital with heavy antibiotics and got over 100 stitches.
The doctor told me not to ride for the next tree weeks, I will try to do it...

Two weekends ago I did a rally with the Sunburst, only 50 miles, but riding with more acceleration, harder braking, and more leaning in the curves; lovely to do but hard for my physical condition.
Last weekend I decided to go to Chimay classic races, with the Sunburst on a trailer because Chimay is 200 miles roundtrip from my home, I did the last miles on the bike, just to test the modified FCR with the dual injectors and a new injection pump cover.
I felt a difference in accelaration.

Joke:
Two fleas come out the restaurant:
Should we walk home or take a dog?

Keep you posted
Yves

My old friend from Assenede has had both hips done and has just returned from a short ride out to Ukraine, Poland etc. So all will be well. Relax and enjoy some good relaxing beverages. Sant'e

Good to hear Yves. And good to know the ‘rotten meat’ !

Now... please tell us more about these accelerator pump mods you’ve done...

Hi Fast Eddie,
First where can you buy the parts: Power-Barn

The accelarator pump cover "Quick shot 3" made by Boysen: This cover as a adjustable leak jet. You can adjust the quantity of fuel injected by turning a screw.
The design of the cover will not allowd any air bubbels in the pump, this product is a simple bolt on parts and work very well.

The Athena dual spray nozel split the spray in the venturi in two sprays, this give better atomisation from the fuel.
Note: this kit is only made for FCR MX, the FCR with cast in air filters adapter.
Keyhin don't sale the mid-body O- rings and the mid- body is glued on the carbs. You can find the mid-body O-rings aftermarket by the dutch specialist Frank MX Parts.
I ship my carbs to Frank and he made the set-up, with a lot of difficulties, but at the end it works fantastic.
It can take years to find all the subtilities from the FCR, but once you have the good tuning, it's a real power factory.

Of course I use the intake manifold made by CNW and the K&N filters adaptors and I keep the longer intake busches made by Kenny Cummings.
Hope this will e helpfull for you
Yves

MX engines have 4 valves with dual ports.
Hence the reason for the dual/split spray tube on a MX carb.

Here’s to your quick and total healing Yves.

Cheers....
