Here are a few pics. What I started with, where I am headed. Ya'll have a nice day.

Looks like you should be done in time for the "Most Improved 2011" contest deadline!

Looks like the ultra "kewl" Hi rider gas tank to boot !!! 8) Are ya also going with the ultra "kewl" hi rider ape hanger handlebars (keeps the armpit hairs cool in the wind) and the ultra "kewl" hi rider seat and sissy bar ??? Hi riders were extremely sparse at the 2011 Empire Rally. :( Though some might disagree, I would sure like to see more of them around, cheers !

Request to all the hi rider gas tank people....let me know if you have steel roadster tanks for sale!!! :D

The tank came with the bike, I traded an SKS for the paint job. The apehangers are binned, with ''M" bars instead.
I have a Roadster seat from BurtonsBikeBits, as the seat that came with fell apart in my hands. Thanks for the interest.

I sure wouldn't mind a Roadster tank myself.

Hank, why is your battery sitting that way? Do you have the central oil tank?

It looks like you are on your way to having a nice bike made from some pretty ugly material. Please post more pics as you go along, I'm sure we would all like to see how your project gets on.

Nice to see another one getting back on the road. Looks quite well done.

Kinda dig it the way it was.. do not proceed any further ? Did you get a chance to drive it about on the lawn/parking lot before the teardown/rebuild ? Peter.

The way it was is long gone. The front down tubes were both bent. The left fork tube was bent . The wiring was a crispy mess.
I don't feel so bad not going back to bone stock, it is a miracle it came back at all.

Just wondering if you drove it . Drop by and we will fix up the MK111 I have in 5 big buckets ,you are on the right track. Peter.

Let me know when you are going to meet with Torontonian, as I have just finished restoring teo MK111s--one a High Rider and the other a Roadster Cafe Racer.

I am not the mechanic most of Ya'll are. I am having a shop in Austin do the hard stuff. I am barely into my Norton education.

Where are you at in Austin? We are up in Crystal Falls (Leander / Cedar Park).

Great looking bike. Keep the photos coming!

I am much closer now. Way over budget but it's not done. It kept jumping out of gear, turns out 1st is shot. And there is a crack in the Kicker arm shaft spindle. I am the cautionary tale. I bought the barely there, bastard child that needed everything and have paid dearly for every nut and bolt. I guess it's the transmissions turn.

It's like that old joke,

" I spent all my disposable income for the last year on a 36 year old bike, the rest I wasted."
