961SF available in SF

no the original price for a SE 5 years ago was 19K. that was with CF wheels. order a new 961 and yes it is more..

bottom line is someone will pay more for a bike with less of the top end equipped on it. but not me. for those that feel that is ok, they should go for it.

I had to go out to the garage and check my SF. I was afraid someone had stolen it and had it for sale in San Francisco LOL

BPhorseguy. 19K was the price for the SE when it was first announced. and they have to hold to their agreement for the original group who put a deposit down. I am not talking about bikes ordered in 2014.

You are saying they are going to lose thousands on all 50 that were pre ordered. Most contracts state that the dealer is not responsible for manufacturers price increases. Good luck with that!

I was in the area, so I went by Monroe Motors. It is a beautiful bike and very reminiscent of the Dreer bikes.
All I could do is shake my head at the price of 22K. I looked around the show room and the Ducati Diavel
is close to the same price and the Bonnevilles are half the price.

A salesman did point out, take the Bonneville, throw on the Brembo brakes and Ohlin suspension and you would be close to 20K.
True, but Ducati and Triumph have a stable future.... :?

If you are attempting to justify the purchase of a 961 from a rational perspective, by comparing prices and features with other bikes, then don’t bother. Seriously, you either love it, or you don’t. That is a very subject opinion, and I think good advice too.
The 961 is a unique experience, but certainly not right for everyone.

Well might not be able to ride for now because the world is coming to an end. It snowed in Jacksonville, Florida today. this is obviously an indicator that the "end of times" is close LOL

More pics of the garage. Visual proof that my "signature " is not a wish list. I will most likely be chastised for putting pictures of Triumphs on this thread LOL

Britfan and BPHorseguy, come on down, I have room for 2 more 961's in the garage

Did you happen to get that TR6 on ebay within the past few weeks. Identical to one a recently saw for sale. Saw a CNW for sale a few months ago. Sold for 20k. I think it was #54 or thereabouts. Red, standard seat.

That is a very sweet collection of Turners finest G81 sir. Don't accept any chastisement from the Nortonista for that !!
