Hi,
Can i fit the 850 ES timing with his plunger and spring oil non return valve on the 750 engine?
Are there any contraindications?
Thank you.
Piero

I am told it's a straight swap with no issues.

...hope that's the case, because I have done exactly that with the special I am currently building!

You will need the conical seal and retainer that mounts on to the pump that mates up to the plunger on the timing cover. This is different than standard.

Hi,
I have a doubt.

There is only the PLUNGER + SPRING oil non return valve here against the Oil Pump Seal?
There is a steel ball into the timing under the spring? Or nothing?
If not, the plunger do not push against the spring.
I dont understand as the system works.
Thank you.

Hi,
I bought from AN the OIL PUMP SEAL Part Number 066190 but arrived not a conical seal like 1971 type but a flat seal.
The manual and AN web list do not show any retainer: what is it? where it goes?
But into the timing goes only the spring and plunger?
I have never seen before this system.
Thanks for helping me.
Ciao
Piero

When you buy a mk3 timing cover from Andover, it comes with this note:

Here are the parts that are included:

Yes, the Mk3 assembly has the spring (06-6198), plunger (06-6199) and seal (06-6190) and wider pump oil seal "bush" or "spigot". This item was originally included in the Mk3 oil pump assembly and is why it is not shown as a separate part in the Mk3 parts diagram.

There is no steel ball. The steel ball and spring is the AMR timing cover anti-drain checkball modification: http://www.amr-of-tucson.com/nortech.html

Hi Les,
It means i need more only the "wider pump oil seal bush or spigot"?.
Who supply this item?.
Thank you.

As it comes with the Mk3 timing cover kit as posted by gtiller, I would guess Andover Norton or one of the other AN parts suppliers. Unfortunately I cannot give you a part number for this item.
