Can anyone please help I have 750,engine number 235351 this is approximately 5000 after last 750; even weirder is the head is a RH1 which is pre 72. The engine number looks real not an over stamp. Hope someone can enlighten me.

Nothing weird about it. There was a batch of (500 approx.) "235xxx" 750s most of which appear to have been Hi-Riders (and drum-brake Roadsters apparently with '30mm' RH1 heads) manufactured in early 1973, however, the factory dispatch records for the "235" series don't exist (except for 235510 to 235515 held by Andover Norton).

A few short stroke engines and a few '74 850s also had '235xxx' serial numbers.

'235' 750 Hi-Rider on UK ebay.
