When I started my Commando search one year ago, I checked out this local bike in person. It is owned by a wealthy dude with at least 15 bikes in a huge home on the North shore of Vanacouver. Bike had a huge stack of mechanical records/reciepts for decades of work done. She looks really sweet. Although I was permitted to sit upon her, it was in storage-up mode with no fuel etc so we could not start her up at the time. Had a few signs of cobwebs in spokes etc.

It is still appearing on local Craigslist....asking price is kinda high, but that is in Canadian dollars...slash about 25% off if you're a US buyer.

Let's help this "poor" guy sell her off!

From what the ad tells me -- the bike is all pretty but the inside of the motor/transmission/drivetrain/suspension are unknown.
The facts are, it is a 46 year old machine that gets rarely used - best to figure starting at ground zero with the mechanical's.
    $6000 US tops

$8000 Canadian = $6090 US, and the owner accepted the offer.
