Hi all, been lurking around here for a while now. Finally found and purchased a 1970 Norton Commando. Described as an "older restoration". It's on the way via shipping company. Can't wait to get my hands on it.
Cheers,
Joe

Hi Joe,
you are very close to me (not very very close!), but if you come in Italy, write me, we can mount a lot of stuff (if you dont prefer to have a swim or to sail !).
Ciao.
Piero

That's much more a custom cafe racer than a restoration, but it's done very nicely! Quite a handful of trick bits there.

Welcome to the forum.

oh yes!

a 1970 Comando is BLACK, I love it

and it has a dead solid idling and flowing single Mikuni, excellent

wrapped head pipes, hey look ok but maybe unwrap them take a good look to see why wrapped, dented?

you can always rewrap them, black tape would be cool and match

she looks in pretty darn good shape, and getting intimate with some Simichrome or Mother polish is fun!

you have a fine Commando to fettle, have fun!

Suh-weet. The headsteady MUST be replaced. It shatters whilst on a run. Tell me. 70 S myself. Enjoy.

Nice bike Joe. I wouldn't kick that out of my garage. Polished rear hub cover would make it stand out. IMOP. Enjoy your ride. :)
