Hi.
My friends is looking or to buy a Roadster with 13967x frame/licenze.
This should be one of the last 1970 bike built.
But this bike, that seems unmolested, has the new frame with the front crossover tube, the 1971 type of side and central stand, triple tree, handlebar switch, chain guard.
So the bike seems a 1971 Roadster but already has of the 1970 type the rear hub with not cush drive, the shock absorvers with covers, the tacometer and peedometer.
The bike has an 850 seat, but this s not a great problem!!.
The great problem is that this bike has a 20M3S/14653x!!!!!!
This means that this bike is a really nice collage.
The question is, can the last 1970 numbered bike have the new 1971 frame?
Ciao

According to the available information, the change was supposed to have occurred at 141783 but it's possible that number is not accurate.

Hi Peiro,

Sounds like someone had paperwork for a 1970 bike and put the frame tag on a 1971 to make it road legal. From your description, and the engine number being a 20M3/146xxx, if I understand you correctly, it sounds like a '71 registered as a 1970. The factory would not have built it this way.
