The 2018 Motorcycle Cannonball went from Portland to Portland (Maine to Oregon) although technically it ended in Skamania, Washington (across the river and down the road from Portland).

Most of the grey haired motorcycle crowd from Portland and the vicinity showed up to see the old bikes and in most cases, old riders. It was a beautiful day and the Columbia Gorge was on it's best behavior. Not too windy and not raining.

Number 30 in the background of one of the pictures is a guy from my section of the VMCC. Adrian Lockrey who lost no penalty points and finished in 11th place. He was riding his 1925 Triumph which had been shipped over from here in the UK. It is amazing what they achieve on these old bikes. 300 miles a day at an average of 40 mph. Well done to any of them that managed to finish.

Thanks very much Dave , must a been a real fun event to witness , also nice to see our Norton brand well represented .... had read a couple of reports on the Vintagent site during last couple weeks but he has nothing since midway point

Thanks for the pics, just love the pics of 120 and 80 no spit and polish and they look like they never been touched, I do like restored old bikes but there is something about the untouch look and the ones that show they are proudly ridden all the time.
