2 or 3 position Lighting switch

Hi Gents
I would like conformation on the headlamp light switch... is it a two or three position switch???
The 72 model states a three position, but the 73 states a two position?..
I would take it that it has something to do with does the headlamp have a pilot lamp or not?...
What makes it further confusing is that the headlamp looms for both are the same
So as I have a pilot lamp, do I need a 2 or 3 position switch please???

My Jan. 72 Combat has a 2 position headlight switch. Positions are straight up for pilot light and to the right for headlights.

Regardless of what some owners manuals etc. say it was a two position (34660*) switch for '71 -'74 (as they had a four-position master switch). The two position switch simply selects headlamp ON-OFF.

Three position (35710) for '68 - '70 as those models had a two-position master switch.
