Its been a year or two since I have rode the old girl, but there is a Vintage Bike Night tomorrow and I needed something to ride as I have my '70 apart right now. I pulled her out and cleanded the Mikuni's, drained the old gas, threw in the battery out of the '70 and drained the oil from the sump.
I added so fresh gas and oil and she fired up on the second kick. Woohoo! Riding in style baby!

Oh brother, you are a dry nose sick puppy or one self assured rebel!
Go out and upset every brand and style of cyclist around : )

hehe, see what I mean. Even has a lovely Rita to boot. Come on out closet the rest of the way and show us your seat. When I get my hot rod going some, I've got a king/queen saddle seat I may run for its pyche out effects on sneering sport bikers.

I just don't understand choppers, apehangers, king & queen seats, etc. Maybe it's because I was born in the 80s and I missed the craziness of the 70s. Idk. I do like a good hardtailed bobber though.

Maybe I'm just weird. :p

The lovely seat is sitting right behind it. I rode this one for a couple of summers, but parked it during the 'crazy custom chopper' years. I got tired of people thinking I was a riding a bad ass harley chopper and not reconizing the awesomeness of the Norton

I kind of like it, in a sick and twisted way. Maybe because it is a Norton. I do not like Apes, or Choppers, or Sissy bars. I would ride this one.

hmmm maybe I can convert mine......nah.

I have the perfect seat for ya Jordan if you still are needing one. Its even a Corbin!

Westie,

That is a nice original looking bike. I am not as brave as you, I turned my Hi Rider into a roadster. But I have the perfect period accessory that came with mine, a set of forward pegs, that mounted on a twisted bar of the front of the frame. I use this piece of iron for a lock for my bike lift now, but every time I pick it up I giggle.

Thanks for memory of the Hi Rider, love it!

Cheers Richard

Thanks for the compliments on the bike. I think I had tank repainted a couple years ago due to fuel leaking under the paint. When I got the bike it had a 16" hog wheel on it, so I got a rim and spokes and had it laced up. The old girl ran good last night, clocked 50 miles round trip and didn't give me any headaches. :)
