I am thinking of getting the engine and gear box rebuilt on my '72 Commando Interstate. I could probably do it myself but I am more of a paint and body guy than engine and mechanics. Is there anywhere in or around Regina Saskatchewan (Canada) that someone could recommend? I had the clutch rebuilt a few years ago at Motoparts Inc. when I had the bike in Edmonton Alberta but they have since shut down their repair garage. The local shops here don't know anything about British bikes so they won't even look at working on them or even order parts if is not a Harley Davidson or Japanese. Any info would be appreciated, even if I have to travel a few 500 miles to get it done. I just want someone who will give it the respect and care it deserves. Thanks

Google. cvmg Saskatchewan Or cvmg South Saskatchewan which is probably closer. Not a shop but club sections who could possibly direct you to a member with experience with Commandos. Good luck with your rebuild.

Would be quite the drive, but Morries Place in Ringwood Illinois did mine and a fine job at that. He specializes.
    Ask for Ed.
