1969 crankcase to inner primary questiom

Does a 1969 Norton require a gasket between the two? Getting different information that it does/doesn’t.
Also ANY instructions/help/tips on rebuilding the primary are appreciated. I’m a bit stuck with the standard shop manual. (Inner on, spaced correctly I think, clutch basket gear and chain on so far.

Yes, P/N 06-0711.

Regardless of which way you go, gasket or no gasket. you need to shim the central support stud so the inner does not rock forth and back and up and down. A broken inner will result if you do not get the shimming right.
