1968 Commando Gearbox top bolt spacer

Hi All.
My 03.0023 (SPACErR GEARBOX TOP BOLT & WASHER; AMC WHEEL SPINDLE ) is 3 mm. tick.
It doesnt enter in place, too tick.
Please, what is the correct measure of this spacer?.

The stock spacer is more like 1/8" (3.175 mm) thickness.

If it will not slide in with the top fastener loose the cradle might be ever so slightly bowed inward (When I got my 750 there was no spacer in place at that location)

My Mk3's 030023 spacer is a little over 1/8" (measures 0.129", 3.27mm) and not a tight fit.

What size of gap do you have?
Try loosening the 3 rear engine bolts slightly and the bottom gearbox bolt. If it still won't fit, use a tyre lever to lever the gap open slightly.

Is it definitely a Commando shell?
