Looking for choices of vendors who do the 13mm front brake sleeve mod, and what prices and turn around time can one expect?

Thanks

I used Vintage Brake in Sonora, CA. Quality work, no problems at all. I think that it was around $170, but that was 10 years ago. Phil Radford of Fair Spares in San Jose, CA also does this, his price is $210. I used Phil for my exhaust port repair and he did excellent work. I'm sure that his M/C work will be high quality.

IMO this is a really good mod. Makes the brake much more sensitive and easier to modulate. It really improves the riding experience.

Rocky Point - Hudson, MA - seems like it would be relatively near, doesn't do the work, but they run an exchange program with (I think) Miles Classic Brake (MCB). Also there's Clubman Racing in Fairfield, CT, and I think they do the same exchange.

If you go that route, make sure you let whomever know if it's a MK3, or an earlier MY (they are different).

British Bike Connection - Jim Noll in Rochester NY - also does the exchange thing with Miles. The difference between the two cylinders is that the later ones have the mirror boss.

If the difference you are talking about is MK3 vice earlier MC, there is a difference in how they mount too - see about half-way down the page on the Old Britts website there are two photos of the back side of the cylinders.

OK - I didn't know that the Mk3 was different mounting. When I got mine he only asked about the mirror boss. This was 5-6 years ago.

Clubman also offers a kit for 74.50. They suggest professional installation (of course). I would be curious if anybody has done this mod themselves using this kit. Clubman also has the exchange available, powder coating and all for 189.00, they are the Miles sleeved MC. Says two weeks is average.

make sure it lines up correctly. He is a good guy to do business with.
