1 coil or 2 for Lucas Rita

Reading the Iridium plug thread got me ta' thinkin': I'm going to be using a Rita ignition on my mk3 and I bought a new single coil with dual outputs but is this the best setup or are 2 coils a better setup? Not going to be a race bike. Stock compression and cam AFAIK.

Since you already bought the single coil with dual output, try it and see if it works.

if it is 3 ohm's or more it will work BUT over time it WILL cook them. the rita keeps the power on for to long and the coil cannot dissipate the heat like the 2 single coils can. been there done that and now run a tri spark as it has a LOT less current draw and easier on coils.
