£18k… why…?

Working the sale for all he can get....I don't see any serious downside to that, its easy enough to lower the price if he does not see any activity on his offer.
Richard T. made a good observation, some "gotta' have that specific Norton" fanatic (maybe for a collection?) just might pay that for what the bike is claimed to be.
"Super rare". Well, OK, but opinions, like resale values, vary.
All original. Is the Estart factory original?
He is asking 18 as a start point/price, let the negotiations begin.

If this was a bare frame ground up restoration that you could hit the starter and then hit 100 mph safely I could understand his asking price as a start point for negotiations. Maybe he equates the "as is" or stated original condition to be the equivalent value of a high end restoration?

He's got great feedback and has been in the Fleabay game for 20+ years.
I wish all the best success to the guy, hope he hits his number.
I am usually the first to say that, by definition, something is worth what someone is willing to pay, period, and despite wot the rest of us might think to the contrary!

However, this guy ain’t gonna get anywhere near his listed price. Ever!

The bike is in OK condition I’d say, but is certainly not exceptional. And it is certainly not rare or even very original, it is frankly a bitsa.

It would potentially (depending on mechanical condition) be a good basis for a good ‘rider’. But ‘riders’ have never fetched anywhere near his asking price, a situation hardly helped by current market conditions !
