Will a BSA Golden Flash do 100 Mph ?

I reckon it went pretty close, about to put another two teeth on the front sprocket.

More than close according to the video :D I hope the brakes are up to the task of stopping it.

As one who had 5 A10's I love 'em but the stock iron 650 would struggle to get there. The Rocket and RGS would, but beware at 101MPH the left rod snaps!
seriously, the Smiths Chronometric needs to be calibrated to remove wind up jump that throws a big error into the reading. They are OK if a specialist instrument tech has done a good job.

My older brother had one in about, 65, I reackon, don't think it did the ton, certainly wouldn't get there that quickly.
Brother in law had a Super Rocket at the same time, faster by a good bit, with me on the back. I think that's when I learned how
to give the finger gesture. Just didn't know what it meant.
Two teeth is a big jump. Is it lower geared than std Josh.?
Great old sound the 650 Beesa.

Pre unit Bonnie Chronometric wnt in 1 mph steps till overhauled , the 2 . B...er .

51 BA 10 did 16.9 quater at the local car club sprint.Same as road test figure .
I think @ 81 m.p.h. , 4th about 200 ft. out and chin on tank , L.H. on fork leg .

Most parts had fallen off over the years , twisted forks , 10:1 pistons , valves
sunk back in small fin head .On baffle was loos and knocked out easy , th other
took most of a day and dstroyed a broom handle . Couldnt hav the cylindrs
running uneven.

In the hills on th way back it would clear a 74 650 Yam. @ around 60 m.p.h. in a
roll on through the bends .
Comfortable bike to ride, but unhurried ,or is that unhurrieable .
Then there wre the brakes . . .
The one rule to the exception , is theres the exeption to each rule .

Maybe down a steep hill with the wind and tide behind you! Practical top speed was in the low 90's and it took a while to get there. I suspect the brakes would fade in a hard stop from 90 by the time you were down to 30.

Gees, Am I the only one who noticed your ridding on the wrong side of the road? Looks like a few people in cars were too, must all be drunk!
