We had a great day one. Paul set a new record with the first run. We plan on breaking it tomorrow. Jim

Most excellent! Congratulations to Paul and the rest of the team. It's an impressive effort by all of you. Wish I could have been there.

Day #2 is done.
We couldn't have ask for a better day. We upped our record in the un-faired class by about 5 mph -to about 120
and set a new record with the full fairing at around 124. The wind became an issue late in the day.
So far we have been tuning very conservatively at 1000 rpm below our peak power and the bike has been rock solid.
Tomorrow we plan on getting a bit more aggressive and find out what the bike is capable of.
Two days and eight runs and every run has been better than the last. It's been great having the time to make tiny steps toward the goal.
Tomorrow the torque setup comes off and the horsepower setup takes it's place. Fingers crossed. Jim

It all goes back to your Spintron experimentation. Nice to see the result.
Well done!

Jealous as all get-out, in light of the fact that I wasn't able to go. Stupid body! youngest-and-oldest-t24769-195.html#p333514 If any of you get the chance, please stop by my crew with Jerry Adams, and say "hi" for me.

SirEddie's bike did what we set out to do.

Sunday and Monday we set new records in both our classes.

120 mph with no fairing and 124 with the faring -but with wind problems.

Today we tried pushing things just to see how far we could go and the motor blew with no warning at 130. We are done for this year.

The records look pretty safe for a while as our closest competitor is 20 mph slower.

Three 12 hour days on the salt - I'm cooked. Jim

Sorry to hear that, Jim, but it was still a successful meet for you guys, and you all deserve congratulations for a job well done.

The clutch pushrod and ball will arrive by FedEx tomorrow by 4:30 pm, but it doesn't sound like you need them any more.

Awesome job guys, Thanks for letting us know how things went. I would call that a very successful meet with two records. I've only been there a couple times and have seen just how tough a place it can be. Thanks again, Chuck.

I deliberately didn't include any pics of sir eddies rocket, I figured that it would be appropriate for Paul to do.
I had a super terrific time and am looking forward to going back.

Thanks Mark for the great pics,
first glance at this GL1500 it looked like a Star Wars Land Glider, hovering.
Thanks,
