There should be a spacer tube between the two bearings which prevents the R/H bearing from being pushed in too far?

Reading through what it says in the MkIII manual, all you would need to do is fit the R/H bearing until it is up against the spacer?

As the manual instructions tells you to tighten the bearing lockring until the bearing bottoms in its recess which "will also position the opposite side bearing if it was too deep in it's housing" so I can't see that fitting the bearings in the opposite sequence is likely to alter anything?
