i run the SureFire in my '73 850 and have absolutely no isues with it. You can set it at 31 degrees @ 4000 rpm for general use and @ 5000 rpm if you want to race it.
I have set mine at 31 degrees @ 4000 rpm and rarely rev my motor over 5000 rpm , just rely on higher corner speed and run /cruise at 4000 rpm here in the twisty winding roads of New Zealand
Cant fault it for my use and a first kick starter everytime!!

Here's another very satisfied Pazon Surefire customer.
Tossed the Boyar and will probably never use one again. But I think I still have maybe 2 new sets on the shelf---may decide to sell to finance other items in need.
I think I may have gone through 3 or 4 Boyars in the last 20 years or so. That may be the average life
span---these were installed in several different bikes. They won't last forever.
I also have aTrispark on the shelf for another project in progess so will have the two of them to compare some day.

You can't fault Pazon for service and support. They even sent me the dimensions of the Surefire rotor so I can machine up 1/8" longer versions to suit my 1/8' shorter cam. They will supply and fit the special magnets. Later on they may make new trigger plates with longer pick up poles. Good guys to deal with.

If that old girl brings anywhere close to the 120k he is expecting, its more proof of how silly we are!
