If you're in the area you already know about this.

Unfortunately after the debacle with AHMRA there won't be an AHMRA event here (probably ever again) but that didn't stop the folks here from putting another event together!

Roadracing, MX, Swap Meet, Show and more!

Yes, I'll take pictures and probably video too.
You probably want to go into town, and find a up to date Jap Bike store,
With a full spares department, a clean workshop, and kean young mechanics.
And ask them if theres a Grumpy Old Bloke out in the Hills, who knows how to fix Real Motorcycles.

I just thought I should prepare you now, no video. I know, I'm disappointed too.

It was just a beautiful day here. Got out and rode over to meet some folks from OVM. They were suppose to leave to ride over to the track at 10am. I got there a little after 9:15am and there was only one bike there. Heck, good excuse for a pre-ride ride, right? So I headed off and up to Rocky Butte, one of the nearby "mounds", an extinct volcano as we have a few around here.

Then back down again to meet for the ride.

A short ride to PIR (the meetup point was actually the wrong direction for me). We parked right in the show area and enjoyed the racing.

It was a modest event, nothing like when AHRMA came to town last year (but that's another story…) but there was vintage roadracing mix with the modern classes, all vintage (well, post-vintage too) motocross, the bike show, a small swap meet and great weather!

There was only one other Commando I saw (except for the one racing) and I talked to the owner for a bit. Some cool stuff on the bike.

By the time I got home I noticed that I got a bit of sun, a small price to pay.

Such a great day, but I wish I could have got more riding in!

Glad the OMRRA folks got it together; I still wish I had made it up there last year, now may never get another chance...
