Have you managed to blag a ride on the Norvin ?

Last time I saw him he had just put some new Amals on it and it was running horribly, he said that he was going to go back to the old ones.

SQ hiding in an unusual spot caught me making a pass above the marked limit  Nice enough cop let me keep the bike and my license and marked the ticket down to a very reasonable amount. Unfortunately I have to pay tickets out of my fun money which means no fun for a month or two or I would be planning a ride with my friend in the coming weeks and trying to bum a ride on the Norvin.

That sucks Will , how fast were you going? :(
But such is life ! I've just got my insurance renewal though for my 71 Bonnie and it's gone up by about 100 euros (or 30%)! So there goes the Triton play money for another month !
One thing for sure, these old tarts keep you in the poor house

50 kph over the limit, 625$, bike seizure, suspended license for a week, 5 demerit points, and bike towed, but he he let me off with 252$ fine, 3 demerit points and a stern warning because of my "experience" and the fact that I didn't do a runner, ( I could of but ...).

It hurts because next years registration and insurance will go up.

My fault for not being able to follow a Hyundai below the limit and liking to make my pass quickly

I should sell some stuff on ebay to pay the ticket but I hate going into the parts stash... but summer is so short.

Thats harsh !
Over here is not that bad, you just have to pay the fine :) Belgium must be one of the few countries in Europe that have not adopted the points system for your license.

30 mph over the limit? Was it like 55 in a 25 or 100 in a 70? And they nabbed you on a pass?

Oregon state law says you cannot exceed the speed limit while passing.
You probably want to go into town, and find a up to date Jap Bike store,
With a full spares department, a clean workshop, and kean young mechanics.
And ask them if theres a Grumpy Old Bloke out in the Hills, who knows how to fix Real Motorcycles.

80 in a 50 zone. on the same road today I got stuck behind a nissan that was doing 6 mph less than the limit and had to follow him almost 10 miles because there was no place to pass within the speed limit and the lines. He couldn't drive the speed limit, he crossed the lines on all the turns...

I was also informed that lane splitting is not allowed and wheelies are considered dangerous driving and come with 9 demerit points, (15 points to a license).

All things considered, I'm lucky they haven't caught me on the way to work in the mornings doing well, well over or on one wheel. Was an ambush, they were very well hidden and waiting, almost have to consider taking a break and let my license recover from the last couple of tickets, or get a moped or sumptin....

Frankly it sound like you need to get an WM20 and putt to work for a while. When the coppers see you on that they'll be laughing so hard the next time you blast past them on one wheel they'll still be laughing about the plonker.

What if you get a license from another state?
I live in Belgium, but I have a UK license and one bike registered in the UK and the other in France. :)
