TriSpark on Norton MKIII

Postby Coop » Sun Jul 05, 2009 8:06 pm

Just fitted the trispark ignition on my 75 Commando. The bike already had the 4 brush starter set up and fresh Amal 932's. The bike now starts so easily that it is disorienting. After warm up a quick tap of the green button brings the motor to life. When cold this MKIII still starts much easier than my 2004 Bonneville. I just ordered another trispark for one of my other MKIII's.

Mine has the original starter, albeit fitted with welding wire as an earth to the battery and feeds to the starter and soleniod, I fitted the Tri- sparl 'classic twin', and like yours starts with a light kick and will start on the button after that. It will usually start on the button from cold but churns a bit before it fires so I always kick the engine over first. Good investment!
